From the channel to your shelf
The Way It Worked is a YouTube and social channel about how machines actually work — ships, aircraft, and military hardware explained with real military and NASA footage, no reenactments.
The Way It Worked Models brings that same subject matter to your shelf: a curated collection of museum-quality display models of ships, aircraft and military vehicles.
Who builds the models
We do not build models ourselves. Every model in this store is made by established partner workshops that specialize in fully assembled, hand-finished display models, and is shipped directly from the workshop to you.
Custom commissions
Want a specific ship, aircraft or vehicle — one you served on, built, or simply admire? Through our partner workshops we can arrange custom-built models from plans, photos and records. See how custom commissions work.
Who we are
The Way It Worked Models is operated by BEAU-LINK LLC, based in New Jersey, USA.
